Piotr Arcimowicz wasn't just passionate about sports - he had a winning formula. After coaching and even winning a local cup in the UK, Piotr decided to bring his expertise to Dubai. After working for a company for a while, he craved to build something unique, a place where his coaching and business expertise could flourish. This dream became a reality in 2016 with the Archibald Sports Academy.
Jebel Ali Recreation Club became Archibald’s first home. Here, amidst the energy of the community, Piotr and his brother Lucas started a tennis academy, their area of expertise. But their passion for racquets didn’t stop there. They soon expanded their services to include squash and paddle tennis, catering to a wider range of sporting interests. Recognizing the growing demand for swimming instruction, the Archibald Aquatic Division was launched in 2023.
Archibald's success brought its own set of challenges. As the academy grew, managing a multitude of activities, schedules, and student information became increasingly complex. Communication with parents, a crucial aspect of any sports academy, required a streamlined system.
"Since Classcard has been introduced," he explains, "it has helped us significantly by using most of its features. Especially in terms of informing the customers, and the parents so they have access to information about the lessons and progress." Classcard's communication tools ensured everyone was on the same page.
From Piotr's perspective, Classcard is an ideal solution for sports academies with numerous activities, events, and facilities to manage. The platform's ability to streamline operations and communication makes it a valuable asset for any growing organization.
Piotr's journey wasn't a solo one. He credits Brian Mcfadden, a mentor from his time at the East Dorset Club in the UK, for shaping his approach to both coaching and business. Working under Brian gave him the opportunity to implement his own programs and ideas, fostering a valuable exchange of knowledge.
Reflecting on his journey, Piotr emphasizes the importance of taking things one step at a time. "This is the best lesson I've learned," he says. "Sometimes it's better to do things a little bit slower although you get opportunities to grow faster."
Looking ahead, Piotr has ambitious plans for Archibald. He envisions a network that connects communities through sports, potentially extending services into schools. He also harbors a dream of returning to his European roots, potentially opening branches in Poland and other countries. His vision for the future is one of steady growth, innovation, and a global network that shares his passion for sports.
And on a lighter note? When Piotr isn’t strategizing on court, he enjoys spending time with his family and whipping up delicious meals—a testament to his well-rounded personality and his ability to excel off the court as well.
